Our Story

Woodthorpe Park Plant Nursery is built upon a long tradition of horticultural excellence. Nottingham City Council has managed a Nursery at Woodthorpe since the 1920s.

New glasshouses were built in the 90s to enable the City Council to realise its ambition to be the best floral city by competing in the Britain in Bloom and the European Entente Florale competitions. During the 90s Nottingham achieved many national awards won Gold in 1998 at Entente Florale and the RHS Champion of Champions Award in 2007. Fast forward and we now grow over £1million plants for other councils, organisations and retail.

Our mission is to sell surplus stock from our nursery at affordable prices and share our knowledge and passion with our customers.
